Care products

Oiled floor care:
PRODUCT TYPE: Maintenance care for oiled parquet floors and stairs. Oil emulsion based on natural raw materials that protects oiled surfaces
INGEDIENTS: Oils, emulsifiers, fragrances, drying agents, anionic and non-ionic surfactants.
CARE: Shake well before use. Add the oil wipe care to lukewarm cleaning water – wipe with a slightly damp cloth only. Do not flood the wooden floor with water, as this may cause the wood to swell. After a short drying time (approx. 10 minutes), remove any remaining moisture with a cotton cloth!
IMPORTANT TIPS: Shake well before use! Protect from frost and temperatures above 40°C. For the care of oiled floors, please also refer to the technical data sheets for Complex® Wood Care Oil and Complex® Universal Cleaner as well as the care instructions according to DIN 18356. If necessary, wipe with Complex® Universal Cleaner until slightly damp. Only use on hand-oiled floors and only after final hardening (after approx. 8 - 14 days). Our care sets offer you the optimal products for maintaining the value of your floor.

Care and Cleaning Instructions for Wooden Floors:
To protect and preserve the beauty of your wooden flooring, please follow the care and maintenance guidelines below.
Protecting the Floor Surface
Immediately attach felt pads to all movable furniture. For office chairs, we recommend using extra-soft chair casters, available from specialist retailers, to reduce mechanical stress on the wooden planks. Metal objects combined with moisture can cause discoloration on wooden surfaces. The same may occur with overflowing flowerpots, as potting soil is alkaline and may react with the tannic acid naturally contained in wood, causing stains. When using underfloor heating, increase the flow temperature gradually by approx. 5 °C per day so the wood can adjust slowly.
Never switch directly to full heating power. The surface temperature of the floor should never exceed 25 °C (77 °F).
INITIAL CLEANING AFTER INSTALLATION:
- Clean the floor using a mop, broom, or vacuum cleaner.
- Damp-mop only at least 8 days after the floor coating has been completed. This allows oils, waxes, and resins to cure properly
- Do not use third-party neutral cleaners, soap-based products, or cheap microfiber mops, as these may scratch the waxed surface.
- Do not rinse with clear water afterward. The dried care layer helps repel dust and dirt.
- All Complex® care products are suitable for machine application and can be polished after drying.
- For optimal maintenance, it is sufficient to damp-mop with oil care cleaner once or twice per month. In between, perform dry cleaning using Südtiroler Landhausdielen® dust-binding cloths.
INDOOR CLIMATE:
Strong fluctuations in temperature and humidity may cause the wood to expand and shrink, which can lead to gaps between planks.
To prevent this, maintain a stable indoor climate of: 20–22 °C room temperature, 50–55 % relative humidity. This can be achieved with humidifiers, indoor plants, or room fountains.
DALY FOOR CARE:
Lightly Used Areas (e.g., Living Rooms & Bedrooms)
- Clean with mop, broom, or vacuum cleaner
- Mix 80 ml oil care cleaner with 5 liters of lukewarm water
- Mop with a slightly damp cloth, do not rinse with clean water afterward
- For intermediate cleaning, use dust-binding cloths only
Heavily Used Areas (e.g., Entrances, High-Traffic Walkways)
After cleaning, apply a thin layer of Complex® maintenance oil to the floor (use a spray bottle and spread with a microfiber-free Taski pad or a soft, lint-free cloth/mop).
Removing Water Stains
Apply Complex® maintenance oil to a soft cloth and gently wipe the water stain until it disappears.
Stubborn Stains & Minor Repairs
Scratches, burn marks, stubborn water stains, or similar damage can be treated by lightly sanding the area with fine abrasive fleece (600 grit).
If necessary, gently polish the area with oil or wax afterward.
